We are designed to declare the Praises of God our Father as His children.
Psalm 2:9 ends with the declaration, “…that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
The opposite of vocalizing praise is verbal profanity. One common Greek word for praise is “Ex-ang-el'-lo” and it carries the idea that we are to publish the goodness of God or announce like the Angel Gabriel the presence of God. By putting our actions on display as representatives, we show His goodness and demonstrate His righteousness. When we praise God with our mouths, we are announcing the source of our strength. The actions of our life are on display and we are the messengers of an incredible truth. May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing to God. Declare the praises of God with your mouth and through all the actions of your life! Ask the Lord today to help you remember that you are His child, declare it with your mouth and then walk out what you talk out.
