We live in the perspective of Plenty and not Poverty when we understand that we are “Royal Priesthood”.
Read Matthew 14:13-21 and the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. Notice specifically verse 16, “Jesus replied, ‘They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.’”
Everything created belongs to God and all power comes from God. You are declared to be a “Royal Priesthood” and that means that you are meant to act on behalf of the God of the Universe that has created all things and nothing is out of His ability. You are invited not only to watch His great ability, but you are to participate.
Read also verse 19 – “And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.”
We are invited to be a part of the great multiplication of the provision of the Kingdom of God. We are not merely observers, we get to break bread and distribute. We who follow Jesus are called a Royal Priesthood!
