Unity: Influencing the Religion Mountain
To-Gather 2023
This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and we will be worshiping Jesus together with over fifty other local ministries. Our prayer is that Jesus will be magnified in Tampa Bay and that the power of the Holy Spirit will rest in that arena and everyone there. We desire to see the Kingdom of Heaven come to the Tampa Bay region.
Ephesians 4:2-13 (HCSB) 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, 3 diligently keeping the unity of the Spirit with the peace that binds [us]. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope at your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. 7 Now grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of the Messiah’s gift. 8 For it says: When He ascended on high, He took prisoners into captivity; He gave gifts to people. 9 But what does “He ascended” mean except that He descended to the lower parts of the earth?10 The One who descended is the same as the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. 11 And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, [growing] into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.
Pray for unity at The Crossing:
1 Corinthians 1:10 (HCSB) Now I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all say the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.
Psalm 133:1(NIV) 1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to discover/reveal and overcome all matters hindering our unity here at The Crossing.
- Pray that we will always choose each other over any problem or disagreement that may arise.
- We declare that as we unite as one, we will see a harvest of souls come to know Jesus here and across the Tampa Bay region.
- We declare that we are a people that are not easily offended, and forgiveness is easy for us.
Ephesians 4:14-16 (HCSB) 14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. 15 But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head-Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.
Pray for unity with other church families and ministries in this region:
- Pray that churches would band together as a unified army to effectively win the lost in this region together and to bring influence in every area of our culture.
- Pray for direction on how to come together more, for the sake of bringing revival and transformation to Tampa.
- Pray for the pastors and leaders of our local churches who have not yet experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit to be baptized in this power. (Acts 19:2-6) Also, pray for those who have been baptized to be refilled.
Pray for the To Gather event:
Acts 2:2-4 1 (HCSB) When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying. 3 And tongues, like flames of fire that were divided, appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability for speech.
Unity will maintain the outpouring of the Holy Spirit now and for generations to come.
- Pray for everyone involved in the organization of this great experience (protection, peace, and wisdom).
- Pray for favor with USF, Yuengling Arena, and any government officials involved.
- Lord, we are asking that this gathering will shift the atmosphere over our region. We are asking for an Acts 2 outpouring in the Tampa Bay area.
Unity Declaration:
As we, The Crossing Church, run down the road God has called us to take,
we will do it with humility and discipline – not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring ourselves out for each other in acts of love. We are alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences. As a church, we were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so we will stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. Everything we are and think and do is permeated with Oneness. That doesn’t mean we should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given our own gift. We are all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love. We walk in unity in our homes and within the ministry at The Crossing.
