Advance | Week 5 | We Will Series
Gods directive for us has always been advancement
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” – Genesis 1:28 NKJV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. – Matthew 28:19-20 NKVJ
Jesus has a unique strategy for you to advance his Kingdom with your family, with your friends, in your workplace, and in the places that you play.
Straighten out church error
- The church staff is not here to win the lost
- In the last 100 years we turned church services to be primarily evangelistic and not equipping the saints
- Making converts not disciples
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. – Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV
- some to be apostles, (Equip you with cision and parenting others in the Kingdom)
- some prophets (Equip you supernaturally to hear and speak from heave)
- some evangelists (Equip you to take the gospel to the world with miraculous power)
- and some pastors (Equip you to care for people in Godly community)
- and teachers (Equip you to rightly divide the word of truth)
- by which every part does its share (Church growth happens when you are powerfully equipped and do your part)
Jesus has a unique strategy for you to advance his Kingdom with your family, with your friends, in your workplace, and in the places that you play.
Problem: instead of asking Holy Spirit what his strategy we look to others for what God told them and try to copy it.
Truth: God has a unique strategy for all of us to reach our community
We must be lead by the Holy Spirit.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. – Romans 8:14 NKJV
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. – John 5:19 NKJV
Holy Spirit is our helper.
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— John 14:16 NKJV
13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. – John 16:13-15 NKJV
Jesus has a unique strategy for you to advance his Kingdom with your family, with your friends, in your workplace, and in the places that you play.

19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. – John 5:19 ESV
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10 NASB1995
