3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others. – Philippians 2:3-4 NRSV
U- Unity : Living in unity with the bond of peace, even when we do not understand or agree with each other, allows us to live in Gods commanded blessing.
1Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore. – Psalm 133:1,3 NKJV
3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. – Ephesians 4:3 ESV
Principle of unity : we are all part of one body functioning differently and interdependently.
15 “Moreover if your brother sins against you, (step 1) go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, (step 2) take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ 17 And if he refuses to hear them, (step 3) tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, (step 4) let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. – Matthew 18:15-17 NKJV
M – Maturity : We are committed to grow in our relationship with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit and each other until we mature to Adults in the Faith.
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. – Ephesians 4:13-16 ESV

17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. – Hebrews 13:17 ESV
9 For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith. – Matthew 8:9-10 ESV
