Media Mountain

The media mountain includes news sources such as radio, TV news stations, newspapers, Internet news and opinion (blog) sites, etc. Media has the potential to sway popular opinion on current issues based upon its reporting, which is not always truthful or accurate. 

We praise the Lord for the rise in Christian news services. However, to bring transformation to the mountain of media, Christians who are gifted for and called into this type of work must be willing to report righteously and truthfully in the secular marketplace. Spirit-filled believers are empowered to bring His Kingdom to this area of influence as it is in Heaven.

1^st Prayer Point: Pray for The Church to be champions of hope and unity throughout the media industry.

Philippians 4:8 (HCSB)

8 Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable-if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise-dwell on these things.

• Pray that this scripture becomes the guiding philosophy of those working in this mountain of influence.
• Pray for the goodness of God to be made known through media.
• Pray that the media industry in America will declare what is right and begin to bring healing to our nation with their words. 

Proverbs 12:17-18 (HCSB) Whoever speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness, deceit 18 There is one who speaks rashly, like a piercing sword; but the tongue of the wise [brings] healing.

• Pray for media professionals to have the wisdom and insight to highlight stories of hope, kindness, and positive transformation. Help them shine a light on the good happening in the world, providing a source of inspiration and encouragement to all who consume the news. 
• Lord, let truth-filled and uplifting stories find their way to the forefront of every media outlet.

2^nd Prayer Point: Pray for the Spirit of Truth to be poured out upon the media mountain.

John 16:13 (HCSB) 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.

• Pray for men and women of God to be put in places of influence to combat the enemy’s message.
• Pray for those who have been called to infiltrate this mountain to fill the airwaves with truth.
• Pray for the Holy Spirit to baptize Christian men and women in this area with His anointing. 
• Pray that His Kingdom will come to the mountain of media as it is in Heaven.
• Open the hearts, minds, and ears of those working in this industry to discern the events of our day and present them with integrity and truth.
• Pray for New York City, NY and Atlanta, GA to become filled with men and women of God who understand their identity in Christ and will occupy this sphere of influence. 

3^rd Prayer Point: Media is being used to release fear, hopelessness, faintness of heart, division, and destruction into our society. These are the spiritual influences that we will displace in Jesus’ name.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (HCSB)

4 since the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments 5 and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

• We command all fear to be silenced across the airwaves. We declare that the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (HCSB) For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
• We come against the thief that is trying to steal our hope and cause destruction in our city, state, and country, and we cancel its assignment. We declare that we will have an abundant life that is full of hope.
• We cancel the assignments of every lying spirit that would cause division and confusion across the airwaves and every media outlet. We declare that the peace of God reigns, which surpasses every thought, and is guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
• We declare that our airwaves will be filled with that which is true, that which is noble, that which is just, that which is pure, that which is lovely, that which is of a good report, that which is of virtue, and that which is praiseworthy. 

4^th Prayer Point: Pray for revival to come to the media industry.

1Timothy 2:1-4 (HCSB)

1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

• Pray that the spiritual eyes and ears of every lost person in this industry will be opened to see and hear what the Lord is doing and saying. 
• Pray that the Lord will draw them to Himself.    
• We are asking that those who do not know you, will come to know you and receive you as their Savior. Holy Spirit don’t delay.  2 Peter 3:9 (HCSB) The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
• Pray for Believers in this industry to have a heart for evangelism. Help them to be a light that shines for Jesus to their coworkers. Matthew 5:14-16 (HCSB) You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
