Peacemakers | Week 3 | Blessed Series

⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. ~ Matthew 5:9 NKJV

Peacemakers – make peace

Peacemaker – (Greek Word: Erienopoieos)  one who makes peace. A strong ruler who establishes peace by force. Those who promote human agreement with the things of God. The ministry of reconciliation.

¹⁸ Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, ¹⁹ namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 NASB1995

What does reconciliation look like?

Peacemaker is not:

• Push over
• Passive
• Fearful
• Cowering
• Overbearing bully
• Obnoxiously condemning
• Beat people up with the word and their belief

Peacemaker is in fellowship with Holy Spirit and oneness with God and each other.

• Peacemaker is being reconciled to the Lord – ¹⁸ Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, . ~ 2 Corinthians 5:18 NASB1995

• Peacemaker has a strong secret place – ⁶ But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. ~ Matthew 6:6 NKJV

• Peacemaker is in fellowship with the Holy Spirit – ¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. ~ 2 Corinthians 13:14 NASB1995

• Peacemaker walks in oneness with God and those he is in fellowship with – ²¹ that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. ²² The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; ²³ I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.~ John 17:21-23 NASB1995

• Peacemakers make unity with each other – ¹⁵ “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. ¹⁶ But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ ¹⁷ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Matthew 18:15-17 NKJV

Peacemaker operates in the Fruit of the Spirit

⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. ~ John 15:5 NASB1995

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. ~ Galatians 5:22-23 NASB1995

Peacemaker operates in power:  Gifts of the Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:7-10

• Word of wisdom
• Word of knowledge
• Supernatural faith
• Healing
• Working of miracles
• Prophecy
• Discerning of spirits
• Tongues
• Interpretation of tongues

Peacemaker is Spirit filled but more importantly is Spirit lead

¹³ for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. ¹⁴ For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ~ Romans 8:13-14 NASB1995

The World is awaiting – You are the sons and daughters of God

¹⁵ For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” ¹⁶ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, ¹⁷ and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. ~ Romans 8:15-17 NASB1995

Our world is in chaos because we have not stepped into our rightful place

¹⁸ For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. ¹⁹ For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. ²⁰ For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope ²¹ that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. ~ Romans 8:18-21 NASB1995

Our world is in chaos is waiting on the peacemaker (sons of Gods) to begin to make peace

Peacemakers sometimes have to be forceful

• Fruit of the Spirit is a force
• Gifts of the Spirit are a force

Words of Knowledge

• We believe there is a lady here this weekend who had a red teddy bear when you were growing up and the Lord wants you to know that He loves you.
• We believe the Lord wants to heal someone who is suffering with pain in their hip flexor.
• We believe the Lord wants to heal someone with a right ankle injury.
• We believe we heard the Lord say that there are parents here today who have a child that has been distancing themselves from the family. We believe the Lord wants you to ask your child about an incident that happened in their English class.
• We believe we heard the Lord say that there is a man here that has a business related to boats and the Lord wants you to know that the deal or contract you are currently negotiating is not good for you. We believe we heard the Lord say that it will not work out in your favor. God will show you how to back out of the deal and end the negotiation.
