Wednesday Night Prayer – April 30th, 2025

Government

This is one of the most influential and important areas of influence in our culture because it establishes laws and decrees that impact and control every other mountain. We are partnering with the Lord, “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on the Mountain of Government as it is in heaven.” -Matthew 6:10

1 Timothy 2: 1-4 (HCSB) First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1st Prayer Point: Pray for our Department of Defense:

Psalm 121:2-8 (HCSB) My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. 4 Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. 5 The Lord protects you; the Lord is a shelter right by your side. 6 The sun will not strike you by day, or the moon by night. 7 The Lord will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life. 8 The Lord will protect your coming and going both now and forever.

We are asking that the Lord will strategically place His children in every branch of our armed forces, from the newly enlisted all the way to the highest rankings.
Lord, give these men and women courage to stand for you and to influence those around them for you.
We ask that they have favor in your eyes and the eyes of man.
We ask that you protect them and their families. Dispatch your angels to guard them and keep them safe. Put a wall of fire around them.
We pray that every believer that is serving in the Department of Defense be baptized in your Holy Spirit and fire. Let them be endued with your power as they serve. Lord, we’re asking that you release your spiritual gifts upon each one of them. Reveal your truth to them in every situation.
We pray specifically for our National Guards, Reserves, and MacDill Air Force Base and all the men and women serving here, including every civilian employee. Lord, we are asking for a special outpouring of your love on them and their families. We ask that you protect them and keep them safe in all that they do.

Bind their families together with love and surround them with men and women that love you Lord, and that will share your love with them.
We ask that they have times of refreshing as they work to serve the communities of Hillsborough County.
Let there be men and women surrounding them that will offer Godly counsel and direction as they face difficult decisions.

Proverbs 11:14 (HCSB) Without guidance, people fall, but with many counselors there is deliverance.

Pray that the Lord will keep them from wickedness and corruption. We are asking for You to expose and correct all corruption and for repentance to come to everyone involved.

Proverbs 16:12 (HCSB) It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by righteousness.

You store up sound wisdom for the upright. Lord, lead our civic leaders into Your Kingdom ways! May their hearts be made righteous in You.

3rd Prayer Point: Pray for our state and national government leaders.

Pray for Governor Ron DeSantis, President Donald Trump, and every man and woman that is currently serving in leadership with them. We are asking that You will be their guide, their leader, and their counselor.

Proverbs 21:1 (NKJV) The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

We ask that you cover them and protect them as they lead our state and our nation. We pray that they will develop a deep walk with You on a personal level. Lord, let them learn to dwell in the secret place with You.

Psalms 91:1- 4 (HCSB) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most HighShall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

For all elections, we ask that you remove from office those who are deliberately going against Your precepts and trying to remove You from our nation. Father, we’re asking that you continue to miraculously place men and women of God into these offices. Give us wisdom and insight every time we go to the polls.

Proverbs 29:2 (HCSB) When the righteous flourish, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, people groan.

Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV) Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Exodus 18:21 (HCSB) But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

Daniel 2:21 (NKJV) And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

4th Prayer Point: Pray for Israel.

Pray that the enemies’ plans and strategies against Israel will be thwarted. Isaiah 41:11-12 (HCSB) Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish. 12 You will look for those who contend with you, but you will not find them. Those who war against you will become absolutely nothing.
Lord, bring the enemies of Israel down. We ask that all their plans and strategies will unfold and be ineffective.
We come against the spirit of hate and murder that has revolted against Israel and command it to be dismantled, in Jesus’ name.
We ask that You expose, correct, and remove those who desire to see the destruction of Israel among the UN security council. We ask that You fill their seat/office with men and women who will defend Israel and denounce terrorism.
We ask for supernatural wisdom and insight to be poured out on the Israeli war cabinet as they continue to strategize to defeat their enemies.

Isaiah 30: 21 (NIV) Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Pray for the peace and protection of Jerusalem and every innocent person caught in the middle of this war.

Psalm 122:6 (NLT) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.

Father, we turn to You, seeking refuge and safety for all affected by the conflict in Israel and its neighboring nations. Just as Your Word promises, we pray that You will shelter them under Your protective wings.
We ask that Your presence bring a calming assurance to both civilians and peacekeepers on the ground. We trust in Your unwavering care, believing that in Your shadow, they find comfort and security.

Psalm 91:4 (NLT) He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
