Education Mountain of Influence

This area of influence is critical for us because it greatly shapes the minds and expectations of our younger generation. They, in return, will shape our future generations. We are a light into this area of influence. Isaiah 60:1-3 says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines over you. 2 For look, darkness covers the earth, and total darkness the peoples; but the Lord will shine over you, and His glory will appear over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your radiance.”

Pray for our Students (at every level) to encounter Jesus:

  • As our students walk in relationship with you Lord, reveal to them their true identity in you.
  • We are believing and interceding for revival in our schools.
  • Father, pour out Your Spirit on our sons and our daughters. We ask for a harvest of souls of both teachers and students.
  • We believe that students will begin to hold prayer gatherings at their campuses and that through these gatherings their schools will be transformed. Lord, give them boldness and courage to share the gospel with their peers.
  • We are asking for miracles, signs, and wonders to flow from our students everywhere they go. Mark 16:17-18, 20 (HCSB) And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18 they will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”…20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.

Pray for His mercy to be released into our schools:

Psalm 86:1-6 (HCSB) Listen, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. 2 Protect my life, for I am faithful. You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You. 3 Be gracious to me, Lord, for I call to You all day long. 4 Bring joy to Your servant’s life, since I set my hope on You, Lord. 5 For You, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, abundant in faithful love to all who call on You. 6 Lord, hear my prayer; listen to my plea for mercy.

Lamentations 3:22 (HCSB) [Because of] the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.

  • Pray for God’s mercy in our schools by focusing our prayer on these things: Freedom from depression, freedom from abuse (physical and emotional), freedom from substance abuse and every form of addiction, freedom from worry and anxiety
  • Pray that our children will discern between false teachings and truth, and that they will have the courage and favor to stand for truth. Psalm 86:11 (HCSB) Teach me Your way, Lord, and I will live by Your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name.
  • Pray for daily protection around our schools. Lord, dispatch your angels to protect every school in Hillsborough County, the state of Florida, and our nation.

Pray for Educational Leaders:

  • Pray for our U.S. Department of Education Secretary, Miguel Cardona.
  • Pray for our Florida Department of Education Commissioner, Manny Diaz Jr.
  • Pray for our Hillsborough County Interim Superintendent, Van Ayers, and the entire school board.
  • Pray for our private Christian school leaders and our home school families.
  • We are asking that God will assign sons and daughters to be principals, administrators, and school board members. Also, that these high-level leaders would seek Godly counsel and spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10).

Pray for our Educators:

  • We are asking for more Christian teachers to arise and enter the classrooms and to be bold in their faith.
  • Pray that Christian educators will awaken to the great calling of influencing this mountain with the love of Jesus.
  • Pray that these Christian teachers will be the best of the best, that learning will be easy for them, and that classroom management comes easily because of the love of Jesus flowing from them.
  • We believe He is standing at the doors of our schools and knocking. Whenever just one teacher hears His voice and opens the door, He will come in, and bring divine order.
  • Pray that as these men and women stand up for Biblical values in our school systems, that they will be protected and promoted. Pray that they will be promoted to team leaders, teacher mentors, curriculum writers, and other areas of great influence.

Spiritual Warfare:

1 Corinthians 1:19-25 (HCSB)

19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” 20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

  • Come against the principality Beelzebub, and his tools which are lies.
  • Come against pride and humanism that is currently ruling over this mountain. Humanism rejects the validity of our dependence on faith, the supernatural, and divinely revealed truths.
  • Come against atheism, the belief that there is no God.

Each of these constantly push to confuse our children and work to distort their true identity in Christ.

Ways to actively get involved in influencing this mountain:

*Hillsborough County is home to over 300 schools and over 200,000 students. Please partner with us in choosing at least three different schools to intercede for on a weekly basis. Together, we can change the atmosphere and direction of this entire district.

*Go to the Hillsborough County Public School website and read the agenda for every board meeting and attend as many as you can.

*Vote for new board members and superintendents that will support Biblical views in the next election.
