Team Egypt, update five

Headlines for the Middle East are usually associated with death, terror and violence. It seems like darkness shrouds this region...or at least that's what the media would have you believe. Our team had the opportunity to facilitate a two day training session for approximately 50 leaders who work with Syrian refugees. These heroes of the faith don't make the headlines, and their work won't be covered by CNN... But their light is shining in the darkness, and the darkness can't overtake it.

Through skits, teaching sessions and personal testimonies we talked about concepts from When Helping Hurts, a book about healthy poverty alleviation and community development. We met fellow Christians and learned about the front line work  they do with Syrian  refugees. Many of them want to be missionaries to surrounding countries.

Your prayers and financial support helped facilitate this important meeting.
