Belong, Believe, Become!

BELONG   ¹³ I write to you, children, because you know the Father.  ~ 1 John 2:13b ESV  

You BELONG in this Family

Greatest threat to young Christians who are on fire are lukewarm Christians!

¹³ for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. ~ Philippians 2:13 ESV

BELIEVE

The greatest threat to maturing Christians is to get overwhelmed and disillusioned and quit!

¹⁵ And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” ~ Joshua 24:15 ESV

BECOME

The Vision of Jacob 

• ¹⁰ Jacob left Beersheba and went toward Haran. ¹¹ And he came to a certain place and stayed there that night, because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down in that place to sleep. ¹² And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! ~ Genesis 28:10-12 ESV

Abraham’s Altar  

• ⁸ From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord. ~ Genesis 12:8 ESV
