Prayer, The Secret Place | Week One | Power of Prayer Series
How is your secret place?
5 “And when you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they will be seen by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6 But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. ~ Matthew 6:5-6 NASB

5 I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him ]bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. ~ John 15:5-8 NASB
What happens when you abide in the secret place?
91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” ~ Psalm 91: 1-16 NKJV

Words of Knowledge
- We saw a student in a classroom with their hand up to ask a question and then the teacher replied, ” I’m not calling on you because you asked”. We believe we heard the Lord say that you now have a false idea of who I am because of that incident with your teacher. God is saying, “you receive not because you ask not”. Our God is not a God who withholds His blessings from His children. He wants to heal you today of that pain caused by that teacher.
- We believe the Lord wants to heal someone with an issue with their lips.
- We believe the Lord wants to heal someone with a pain or injury in the bones of their finger.
- We believe the Lord wants to heal someone with a pain or injury in the bones of their toes.
