Wednesday Night Prayer July 10, 2024

Family Mountain

This sphere of society includes all families, people who work as counselors, ministers, social workers, educators, government officials that write, approve, and carry out laws that affect the family unit, and those in any aspect of culture that deals with family life.

1st Prayer Point: Pray that our students and our children will walk in their true identity in Christ. They will not be easily persuaded by the world into believing anything other than who God says they are in His Word. Pray for our upcoming Invade Conference (July 23rd, 24th, & 25th).

1 Peter 2:9 (HCSB) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Psalms 139: 13-14 (HCSB) For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know [this] very well.

1 Corinthians 3: 8-9 (HCSB) Now the one who plants and the one who waters are equal, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s co-workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

  • Pray that in their search for identity, they will come to know that they are Your masterpiece in Christ Jesus, created to do good works that You have prepared in advance for them to do.
  • Lord, help each young person see themself as You see them, Your co-worker. Pray that each young person will understand that they were uniquely created for a purpose that only they can fulfill. Lord, help them see that the strengths they have were given to them for a reason and they can impact this world in incredibly powerful ways.
  • Pray that our youth will walk in confidence, knowing that they are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).
  • On behalf of our youth, we bind up and destroy every speculation and lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of Christ and we take captive the thoughts that try to pervert the identity of each child to the obedience of Christ.

2nd Prayer Point: Pray for spiritual renewal to come to our families and for prodigal children to be saved.

  • Pray for restoration and healing to come to every relationship within our families.
  • Pray for the presence of God and His love to fill our homes.
  • Pray that families will begin to seek the Lord together, that we will have intimate times with Him together in our homes.
  • Pray for freedom and healing from a spirit of rejection within our families.

Romans 8:14-17 (HCSB) All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, 17 and if children, also heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Colossians 3:13 (HCSB) accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so also you must [forgive].

Prodigal children:

  • Lord, we ask that every prodigal son or daughter come back to You now in Jesus’ name. Help us Lord to love them into Your Kingdom.
  • Pray for each of our family members that have not accepted Christ as their Savior, to receive salvation now.

3rd Prayer Point: Pray for marriages and for those who are single.

Ephesians 5: 22-33(HCSB) Wives, submit to your own husbands as to the Lord, 23 for the husband is head of the wife as also Christ is head of the church. He is the Savior of the body. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so wives should [submit] to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as also Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 to make her holy, cleansing her in the washing of water by the word. 27 He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and blameless. 28 In the same way, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hates his own flesh, but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church, 30 since we are members of His body. 31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. 32 This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 To sum up, each one of you is to love his wife as himself, and the wife is to respect her husband.

  • Pray that husbands will love their wives as Christ loves the church. (Ephesians 5:23). Pray that husbands will love their wives as their own bodies, nurturing and caring for her (Ephesians 5:28–29, 33) and that husbands will cling to the wife of their youth (Ephesians 5:31)

Proverbs 5:15–23 (HCSB) Drink water from your own cistern, water flowing from your own well. 16 Should your springs flow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares? 17 They should be for you alone and not for you [to share] with strangers. 18 Let your fountain be blessed and take pleasure in the wife of your youth. 19 A loving doe, a graceful fawn- let her breasts always satisfy you; be lost in her love forever. 20 Why, my son, would you be infatuated with a forbidden woman or embrace the breast of a stranger? 21 For a man’s ways are before the Lord’s eyes, and He considers all his paths. 22 A wicked man’s iniquities entrap him; he is entangled in the ropes of his own sin. 23 He will die because there is no instruction and be lost because of his great stupidity.

  • Pray that wives will respect, honor, and mutually submit to their husbands (Ephesians 5: 22, 33).
  • Pray for broken marriages to be restored. Pray against the spirit of divorce.
  • Pray for families that have gone through divorce, that there will be inner healing for everyone involved, and that joy and love will return to them.
  • Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are living in singleness right now. Lord let their eyes be fixed on you and their hearts be encouraged. Father, we ask that you surround them with Godly men and women who will support them and walk with them on this journey. We ask for inner healing to come from any broken relationships. We pray that they will be led by you Holy Spirit as you bring their spouse into their life. Father, give them the strength to live a life of purity, Psalms 119: 9 (NIV) How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.

4th Prayer Point: Pray for our government leaders who have influence in the Family Mountain.

We can break through in prayer and create an umbrella of influence in the Spirit where righteous enactments are made, no matter who is in office. (Esther 8)

  • Pray for the fear of the Lord to instruct our Supreme Court Justices, our Florida Supreme Court Justices, and our Local Court Justices.

Job 12:22 (MSG) He shines a spotlight into caves of darkness, hauls deepest darkness into the noonday sun.

Amos 5:24 (HCSB) But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.

  • Pray for the laws and ordinances that govern the family to be written with Biblical values and influence.
  • Pray that our welfare laws would be adjusted to promote and strengthen a strong family unit and that financial factors will not be the primary consideration.
  • Pray that every state will continue to work to put an end to all abortions in our nation. Pray that Amendment 4 does not get passed in the state of FL in November. (https://www.tooextremeforfl.com) As believers, we say No to Amendment 4.
