Wednesday Night Prayer May 29, 2024
Family Mountain
This sphere of society includes all families, people who work as counselors, ministers, social workers, educators, government officials that write, approve, and carry out laws that affect the family unit, and those in any aspect of culture that deals with family life. Father, the darkness increases, but we will not fear. Isaiah 41:13 says that you take us by the right hand and tell us not to be afraid because you will help us. We stand on that promise for our families. As You said, greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world. If you said it, we believe it! Equip us to fight for our families.
1st Prayer Point:
We want to give thanks for our families.
Ephesians 5:15-20 (HCSB) Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk-not as unwise people but as wise- 16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil. 17 So don’t be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 And don’t get drunk with wine, which [leads to] reckless actions, but be filled with the Spirit: 19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music to the Lord in your heart, 20 giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.
- Lord, we are thankful for our family. No matter what is going on within, we are thankful, and we believe that you are bringing healing and restoration.
- We recognize your blessings on our family, and we thank you for these blessings, Lord. Psalms 103:17 (HCSB) But from eternity to eternity the Lord’s faithful love is toward those who fear Him, and His righteousness toward the grandchildren. Psalms 112:1-2 (HCSB) Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the Lord, taking great delight in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be powerful in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
- We are asking for an infilling of Your Spirit that will empower us to respond to our family in love.
2nd Prayer Point:
We are replacing a spirit of rejection and abandonment with the Spirit of adoption, with God’s love. Romans 8:15 (HCSB) For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!”
A major influence on this mountain is the spirit of rejection. The lies that the enemy wants us to believe are like these: “I am not truly loved, I don’t really belong, and I’m the only one who really looks out for me.” The enemy wants us to believe that we have been forgotten or abandoned by God. Unfortunately, perceived rejection can be just as damaging as actual rejection.
- Lord, we release those who have wronged us or caused us pain (intentionally and unintentionally). We choose to forgive them and release them of any debt, in Jesus’ name. Colossians 3:13 (HCSB) Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
- Pray for freedom and healing from a spirit of rejection within our own life and for those within our family. We bind the spirit of rejection and command it to leave, in Jesus’ name! Romans 8:14-17 (HCSB) All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, 17 and if children, also heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
- We ask for freedom to come to every family that is a part of this church. We pray for complete healing and restoration to sweep through this House.
- Lord, we ask that in 2024 there will be healing in families all across America.
3rd Prayer Point:
Revival in our families:
Joel 2:28 ( HCSB) “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”
Psalm 80:19 (HCSB) Restore us, LORD God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
- Pray for restoration and healing to come to every relationship within our families.
- Pray for the presence of God and His love to fill our homes.
- Pray that families will begin to seek the Lord together, that we will have intimate times with Him together in our homes.
- Pray that the Lord will bring salvation to every unsaved person in our family. Holy Spirit, draw our family members to you. We are trusting you for revival to come to our family.
4th Prayer Point:
Pray for our children and our Kids Camp
Pray that our children will walk in their true identity in Christ as they influence their families, schools, city, state, and nation. They will not be easily persuaded by the world into believing anything other than who God says they are in His Word.
1 Peter 2:9 (HCSB) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Psalms 139: 13-14 (HCSB) For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know [this] very well.
1 Corinthians 3: 8-9 (HCSB) Now the one who plants and the one who waters are equal, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s co-workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
- Pray that in their search for identity, they will come to know that they are Your masterpiece in Christ Jesus, created to do good works that You have prepared in advance for them to do.
- Lord, help each young person see themself as You see them, Your co-worker. Pray that each young person will understand that they were uniquely created for a purpose that only they can fulfill. Lord, help them see that the strengths they have were given to them for a reason and they can impact this world in incredibly powerful ways.
- Pray that our kids will walk in confidence, knowing that they are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).
- On behalf of our children, we bind up and destroy every speculation and lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of Christ and we take captive the thoughts that try to pervert the identity of each child to the obedience of Christ.
- Pray that our kids and every person serving at our camp this year will experience the Lord in a fresh new way. We are asking for an outpouring of Holy Spirit and fire at camp this year.
