Wednesday Night Prayer September 25, 2024
MOUNTAIN OF ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
In this mountain, we find some of the most influential forces shaping our society. Music, art, filmmaking, television, books, the performing arts, and even sports drive our cultural tastes, values, and standards, particularly in our youth.
In Genesis, God is introduced to us as Creator and He has never stopped creating. He is joyfully creative, and the manifestation of His creativity brings Heaven’s wow factor to Earth. This aspect of God will draw nations unto Him when we represent Him as Creator properly.
Lord, let your kingdom come and your will be done here, on this Mountain of Arts and Entertainment, as it is in heaven.
1st Prayer Point: Pray for the Lord’s excellence and creativity to be released into this mountain of influence.
Psalms 16:11 (NKJV) 11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
.
- Pray for believers in this sphere of society to co-labor with God the Creator in all they say and do.
- The glory of God is meant to be seen on all who entertain and create. Ask the Lord to release creativity and abilities that have never been seen on earth before.
- Pray that believers influencing this mountain will begin to bring heaven’s wow factor to earth through the manifestation of His creativity through them.
- Pray Habakkuk 2:14, that the knowledge of His glory will cover the earth through the arts and entertainment sphere.
- Pray that we will partner with Him in expressing His splendor and glory with never-before-seen creative genius.
2nd Prayer Point: The glory of God is to be seen on us as an antidote to darkness. He desires His children to carry His light and glory into this area of culture. Let’s lift up our Christian brothers and sisters who already occupy this mountain.
Isaiah 60:1-3 (NKJV) Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
- Lord, let your glory shine over your children in this area of influence to bring your light to the darkness that covers the earth and light to the total darkness that covers the people.
- Pray for His glory to be released through every child of God in the Arts and Entertainment Mountain.
2 Corinthians 4:6 (NIV) 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
- We praise God for the Christians who are taking a stand for Biblical values in these areas of influence. Lord, we ask that you dispatch angels now to protect them and minister on their behalf.
- Pray for their boldness, that they will be like Nehemiah. Lord, may they be focused on doing your work, not surrendering to discouragement, distractions, or efforts to frustrate your purpose.
- May they be men and women after your own heart, and let success and favor be upon them to do your will.
- Pray for them to be a beacon of light that will outshine all darkness in these areas of influence.
- Pray that those who carry God’s Kingdom in their hearts will find favor and support from the right outlets, athletic teams, investors, and industry experts throughout Florida and our nation.
3rd Prayer Point: Pray for spiritual revival to come to those who occupy this mountain.
We believe that prodigals who are currently influencing these mountains are going to return to the Lord. We believe men and women who are public activists for all things contrary to God and Biblical principles are going to become public activists for the Lord. (Acts 9:1-31)
- Pray that nonbelieving men and women in this sphere will have a Damascus Road experience like Saul did.
- Pray for an acceleration this year of prodigals in the entertainment world coming into the Kingdom of God to receive salvation.
- Pray for them to be immediately baptized in the Holy Spirit and endowed with power, just like Paul was.
- We ask that the eyes of their heart be open to receive salvation and His great love for them.
4th Prayer Point: Pray that the Body of Christ will embrace the truth that our Father loves us and desires for us to have fun and enjoyment.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4 (HCSB) 1There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven: 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;
Ecclesiastes 8:15 (MSG) So, I’m all for just going ahead and having a good time – the best possible. The only earthly good men and women can look forward to is to eat and drink well and have a good time – compensation for the struggle for survival these few years God gives us on earth.
Proverbs 17:22 (HCSB) A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
God has wired us for happiness. When we are happy our bodies naturally release chemicals and hormones that are good for our mental and physical health. He delights in us having fun and being happy.
Having fun and feeling happy affects our body, soul, and spirit.
- We come out of agreement with the lie that God doesn’t want us to have fun. This lie causes us to believe that the way we entertain ourselves is irrelevant to God because He’s not interested and too serious or holy to have fun or care about our happiness.
- Pray that the Lord will expose any form of entertainment that we have made part of our life that isn’t healthy for us or that’s not pleasing to Him. Lord, we repent and choose to turn away from these things.
Psalms 101:3 (HCSB) I will not set anything godless before my eyes. I hate the doing of transgression; it will not cling to me.
- Help us Lord to engage in pure and healthy celebrations and entertainment.
- Pray for those in The Crossing family who have forgotten how to have fun. Lord, help them to discover what brings them happiness and joy. And, help them to engage in these things once again.
1 Timothy 6:17 (HCSB) Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.
