Perhaps you have been involved in sports or other team/group activities. As we watch sports on TV, we clearly see that teamwork can accomplish much. As a team works together they can accomplish goals far beyond one individual. That’s the beauty of Crossing Ministry Teams – multiple people, working and serving together, for one common purpose.


The USHER TEAM offers men and women the opportunity to be the friendly face of the church.  Divine assignments and appointments await the usher team as they connect with members, guests and visitors. Ushers prepare people for a positive worship experience by welcoming and assisting them to a seat, and maintaining a distraction-free environment.

The GREETER TEAM loves people and makes them feel at home here at The Crossing Church. They welcome guests with a smile, encouragement and personal touch so that hearts are open to the Gospel message.  


This fun and enjoyable team is truly the first impression of The Crossing Church! If you relish the great outdoors, look good in a uniform, enjoy greeting folks with a friendly smile, and can quickly forgive those that may not listen to you, this team is for you!


This team supports the sales of Crossing Church merchandise.  The resource center is open in between all scheduled church services and volunteers assist at the beginning and end of services.


Our friendly Guest Services team is made up of individuals who love to welcome, resource and connect with our First Time Guests– helping them feel immediately cared for and included.  Service areas include greeting in the First Time Guest Parking Lot; welcoming and resourcing guests in our lobby; and assisting guests to their destination. If you love to help others feel welcome and connected - we would love to have you join this exciting team!


This team provides information to members and guests to keep them up to date on happenings in the church community and provides information on all of our current events, ministry opportunities and services at The Crossing Church.


This team is dedicated to providing a safe environment for all guests at The Crossing Church during our weekend services by providing securing restricted areas and observing and reporting any unusual behavior to team leads and/or law enforcement. In the event of an emergency, this team will assist in directing our guests to safely exit the property.


Do you have administrative and serving gifts as well as availability throughout the week?  If so, we’d love to have your help on this vital team.  You will be working directly with our office staff in administrative and ministry duties. 


If you have the gift of giving, the Benevolence team would be a perfect place for you to serve. The Benevolence ministry gives support and guidance to members in need of financial assistance.  These servant leaders will serve on Mondays from 10am to 11:30pm  and 1pm to 3pm. Training is provided.


These Servant Leaders visit members and church attendees in local, nearby hospitals to offer compassion, prayer and communion. Training is provided.


These Servant Leaders are mature Christians with a solid knowledge of  God’s word. They offer encouragement to members who are going through a time of difficulty hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit or struggling in some area.  Training is provided.


Baptism- These Servant Leaders celebrate with those who have made the decision to share this special life event with us. They assists with First Wednesday Baptisms and the annual Baptism Blowout. Team members help with registration, and other baptism related duties. Training is provided.


The Prayer Partners for the Intercessory team are trained to intercede for pastors, and for God’s direction and presence to be manifested in the church.  Prayer Partners pray over and with members, guests and visitors at the front of the sanctuary at the close of each service.  Team members operate in the Gifts of the Spirit and must know their authority in Christ Jesus. 


Do you have a heart for the hurting?  Do you want to see people’s lives go from good to great?  This team give practical tools to help our guests reach the next level of their Christian walk.


This team exists to serve God by helping others step out of denial and into God’s grace. This team assists others in taking an honest and spiritual inventory that will help them get right with God, themselves, and with others. This allows them to grow in Christ while helping others. Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday night at 6pm for a meal and at 6:45pm for large group gatherings.




CHILDREN’S MINISTRY (Birth through Pre-K)

This team leads children into a real relationship with Jesus through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions. 


This team creates an environment where children are consistently exposed to the real love of Jesus. This team intentionally invests in the lives of our children through worship, videos, skits, small groups, greeting, games and more.


This team is preparing middle school students to make that critical transition into their teen years. They use a student led worship team, relevant messages, games, small groups, and lots of fun to impact the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders of our community with the Gospel. This ministry takes place every Saturday night at 6pm and every Sunday morning at 10:30am.


This team is building the next generation with dynamic student led worship experiences, powerful messages, relationship building Life Groups all over the county, impactful retreats, and life-changing mission trips! This ministry takes place every Wednesday night at 7pm at the Tampa Campus and every Sunday morning at 10:30am at the SouthShore Campus..


The College and Career ministry team focuses on discipling 18-25 year olds in the transformative stages of young adulthood. Identity is discovered, purpose is established, community is developed, and discipleship is cultivated. Our UNight services are held the third Sunday of every month at 7pm in the Student Center.


Come help women connect to God, His Word, and to one another in order to reach our world for Christ. There are many ministry opportunities to serve with the Becoming Conference, the three other Sisterhood yearly events and in our Sisterhood Studies that meet on campus during the week.


This team focuses on discipling men to become all that God created them to be. There are opportunities to serve in Iron Men gatherings, mentoring, and fun social events. Iron Men gatherings happen every Saturday at 4:30pm and Sundays at 7:15am in the Tampa Campus Life Center and on Sundays at 7:15am at the SouthShore Campus Life Center.


This team leads other couples to discover God's design for their marriage. They use principles from the Bible to guide and move couples towards improved communication, oneness and love.  Using large group teachings, small group discussions, one on one Biblical Guidance, marriage conferences, retreats, date nights, and much more, this team is changing lives for generations to come.


We believe that real life change takes place in the context of relationships. As a Life Group Leader, you have the greatest opportunity to connect with others, fulfill your passions, develop your gifts and live out the Great Commission. As a Life Group Host Home, you are paired with a Life Group Leader as you open up your home to regular Life Group gatherings.


This team is involved in maintaining connections with our partner ministries across the Tampa area with a focus on bringing God’s love to our world.  This team primarily focuses on helping our Life Groups stay up to date on serving opportunities in our community.


With vocals or instruments, this dynamic team serves to prepare the way for our guests to encounter the presence of the living God.
