Noah at the Table

Noah was a righteous man in the midst of an evil and unbelieving generation.  He faced one of scriptures most difficult times in history and he did not face it alone.

In Genesis 8, at the end of the great flood, is the story of Noah building an altar and offering sacrifice to God.  The Lord has shown throughout time that it is His presence that overcomes problems.  Noah’s first act was to prepare a sacrificial meal in the presence of God. Noah gave thanks at this table.

Genesis 8:20-21 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and there he sacrificed as burnt offerings the animals and birds that had been approved for that purpose. 21 And the Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.

Our Heavenly Father wants to be with us and we need his presence. Think of Him in the midst of all problems and know that it is His desire to be with you in times of trouble.  Remember the Lord in the midst of problems and know that He is always present with you in the good times and the bad.  Thank God for His presence whenever you find yourself at a table of provision.
