God Will Use You

Every person has a limitation of abilities.  There is no person that is the fastest, strongest, smartest, best looking, etc.  All of us are limited in life and have areas of “disability” when compared to others.  We must learn not to focus on our inabilities of life, but rather on God’s abilities to work in and through us.

Moses is a great example of God using someone that was focused on lack of ability.  Read Exodus 3 and notice verse 11: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” Moses was in the presence of God and he doubted his own ability.  It is natural to doubt yourself, but we should not doubt God.  God goes on to tell Moses that it will God’s power and God’s direction that will lead the people.  Moses doubts and worries and even notes his “disabilities”.  He tells God that he does not speak very well.  Some say that Moses may have had a speech impediment… regardless, Moses doubted his ability.

Here is the point – God made you with the greatest ability in the world… the ability to allow God to work in you and through you.  You do not have to be the biggest, strongest, fastest, smartest (fill in the blank).  You do not have to have the greatest ability, just availability to God.
